In September, Leslie Pacheco, Training Instructor and Susan Herndon, Supervisory Instructor of the Service Culture Branch at the MG Robert M. Joyce MWR Academy, hosted an OPEX Train-the-Traner for employees at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM). The course had nine participants, selected by JBLM leadership for their professionalism and willingness to enhance customer service delivery for the organization. This training program aims to ensure the MWR workforce is well-versed in the principles of service excellence and service culture. It utilizes the Adult Learning Model, experiential learning, practical application, facilitation techniques, learning styles, and peer evaluations to certify participants in implementing the OPEX Training for JBLM MWR. The group was very excited to facilitate OPEX Refreshers at JBLM for the first time during an MWR wide Training Day on Oct 11, 2024 and were very successful.

Student Testimonials: This was a wonderful experience that encouraged me to pursue a more involved leadership role and inspired me to incorporate OPEX and other training gained in my everyday personal and work life.
