Course Description: The purpose of this course is to equip new Army School Liaison Officers with the knowledge to implement effective and timely school transition services at any installation. Through comprehensive and continued training of School Liaison Officers, every Soldier will receive predictable services for their children. Providing these services supports the overall mission of Army Child & Youth Services, which is to enhance readiness and wellbeing by reducing the conflict between mission and parental responsibilities. When Soldiers know that there are School Support Program services that will enhance their child’s education, regardless of the assignment, they can direct their focus on the mission.
