Employee Engagement: The purpose of this lesson is to offer Installation Management leaders the opportunity to consciously make efforts to foster employee engagement and to acculturate an environment conducive to organizational success. Supportive and engaged leaders motivate, empower, challenge, respect, and listen to the workforce. Leaders can directly impact the engagement within the organization by focusing on communicating, developing, motivating and empowering their team. This lesson will explore techniques that leaders can use to create a more dedicated and positive workforce. It also supports readiness through enhancing Army civilian’s commitment to provide good stewardship of its resources and personnel. Employee engagement aligns with the Army Leadership Requirements Model specifically the Character attribute and Leads competency.
